Als kind heb ik een aantal poppenhuismeubels van het merk Petite Princess gekregen. Ik vond ze prachtig en ik heb ze gelukkig nog steeds. Deze meubels zijn niet geschikt voor mijn huidige poppenhuis maar staan nu in mijn vitrinekast.

Ideaal’s Petite Princess Fantasy Meubels voor het poppenhuis waren voor het eerst te zien in de Sears Christmas Wish Boek in 1964. Zij boden de oorspronkelijke doos aan met dertig belangrijkste stukken, alsmede het originele Fantasy gezin (vader, moeder, zus en broer) en hun kamers Fantasy (verkrijgbaar in roze, blauw en geel.) Sommige van deze stukken kwamen terug in 1966, 1967, 1968, en 1969 Sears Christmas Wish Books. Deze stukken omvatten de kaptafel en stoel, bed, tafel en lamp, piano en bank, kabinet, gasten stoelen, incidentele stoel , bank, tafel en lamp. Ook in 1968 en 1969 verkocht Sears dertien stukken van de originele collectie in een koloniaal landhuis poppenhuis met rood dak. De fabrikanten van deze mooie meubellijn beschrijven Petite Princess meubels als “De vervulling van de droom van elk meisje.” De meubels zijn prachtig gedetailleerd. Het zijn met de hand vervaardigde meubels en accessoires om vele uren fantasievol te spelen. De Petite Princess poppenhuismeubels zijn mooi om te verzamelen. Er bestaat ook een Japans merk die ze heeft nagemaakt maar die zijn lang zo mooi niet.

As a child I have some of the dollhouse furniture brand Petite Princess received. I found them wonderful and I still have them. These furniture are not suitable for my dollhouse but are present in the cabinet.

Petite Princess Fantasy Furniture first appeared in the Sears Christmas Wish Book in 1964. They offered the originally boxed thirty main pieces as well as the original Fantasy Family (father, mother, sister, and brother) and their Fantasy Rooms (available in pink, blue, and yellow.) Some of these pieces returned in 1966, 1967, 1968, and 1969 Sears Christmas Wish Books. However, neither the name Ideal nor Petite Princess were featured in their Christmas catalogs with their furniture, possibly because Ideal had produced their less expensive Princess Patti line in 1965. The Princess Patti house featured the same furniture in four of the rooms- a bedroom, living room, music room, and dining room, and furnished two additional rooms- a bathroom and a kitchen. In 1966 and 1967 twenty of the original thirty pieces of furniture were offered in red roofed vinyl colonial dollhouses that could only be purchased at Sears. These pieces included the dressing table and stool, bed, lyre table and lamp, piano and bench, treasure trove cabinet, guest chairs, occasional chair with ottoman, sofa, tier table and lamp, and occasional table set. A different family than the original Fantasy Family came with this furniture. Similarly, in 1968 and 1969 Sears sold thirteen pieces of the original collection in orange-roofed colonial mansion dollhouses. Included in these mansions were the dressing table and stool, bed, tier table with lamp, host chairs, sofa, salon wing chair, occasional table set, and a new bathroom set with a bathroom tub, stool, and towel rack. The original fantasy family didn’t return this year either and was replaced by a different family again. Petite Princess vintage miniatures were produced in ¾ inch scale (.75 inches=1 foot) and no currently manufactured miniatures use this scale. This adds to the uniqueness of this product. The manufacturers of this beautiful furniture line describe Petite Princess furniture as “The fulfillment of every girl’s dream.” Ideal explains, “Here, at last are beautifully detailed, hand crafted furniture and accessories to fill many hours of fanciful play. Collect it- play with it- make room arrangements to capture the fancy of any Petite Princess.

Oude muziekbladen voor het poppenhuis gevonden op het internet.
Ze staan prachtig op mijn muziekstandaard.
Als je op Google zoekt op afbeeldingen kun je ze vinden.
Plaatjes kun je opslaan op je computer.
Ga op het plaatje staan, rechts klikken en kiezen voor “opslaan als”.
Open Office – Word .
Kies voor “invoegen” en dan “afbeelding”, “uit bestand”. Zoek het plaatje op, en kies voor okee.
Je ziet nu in Word je plaatje.
Dubbelklikken op je plaatje en dan opent er een schermpje met allemaal tabbladen.
Dan klik je “grootte” aan en zet je het aantal centimeters of milimeters neer.
Je kunt het zo groot maken als je plaatje moet worden.
Zo kun je 1:12 maken maar ook 1:24.
Klik op okee en Word maakt je plaatje precies zo klein als je het hebben wilt.
Uitprinten en klaar zijn je muziekbladen.
Op deze manier kun je ook kaarten, brieven en enveloppen maken voor het poppenhuis van echte afbeeldingen.

Ik was op zoek naar lampen voor het Franse poppenhuis. Ik vond een prachtige winkel met antiek speelgoed. De baas van deze winkel heet Mathieu en hij kan je van alles vertellen over de geschiedenis van de lampen die hij verkoopt. Hij heeft prachtige olielampen te koop voor het poppenhuis maar ook antieke lampen die werken op electra. Ik heb er een aantal gekocht voor mijn poppenhuis.

I found a wonderful shop with antique toys .The boss of this shop called Mathieu and he can tell you everything about the history of the lamps he sells for the dollhouse. Katten gekocht voor het poppenhuis. Ik heb er nu 4 vier maar er komen er nog meer. Ik wil in ieder geval ook nog een rode kat. Ik vind het de leukste huisdieren die er zijn. Ik heb lavendel voor het poppenhuis gemaakt.
Je hebt nodig : Bloemendraad, schilderstape, crepepapier, Tack Glue, verf , blaadjes, potje, oase of klei,
schaar, pincet , tang om ijzerdraadjes te knippen.

Knip stukjes van 4 cm van het bloemendraad.
Leg de stukjes draad op een stukje schilderstape.
Vouw dit om de draad heen. Knip het overtollige tape af.
Knip een smalle strook van het crepepapier.
Knip hier hele kleine stukjes af. Rol deze stukjes tot een bolletje.
Steek alle draadjes b.v. in een blok oase. Zo kun je ze makkelijk schilderen en laten drogen.
Verf de draadjes met tape in een grijs-blauwe kleur.
Dip het uiteinde van de draad in Tacky Glue ( of smeer de lijm met een cocktailprikker op het uiteinde )
Breng de bolletjes crepepapier met een pincet aan op de lijm. Goed laten drogen.
Schilder op de bolletjes hier en daar een andere kleur paars. Echte lavendel is ook niet egaal van kleur.
Ik heb voor de blaadjes een plastic kruidenplantje gekocht.
Stukjes afgeknipt en de blaadjes grijs-blauw geschilderd.
Klei of oase in de bloempot doen. De pot heb ik “oud” geschilderd.
Smeer lijm onder aan de stengels (van je blaadjes en lavendel ) en steek het in de pot.

Mijn Franse poppenhuis heeft straks een pot met lavendel op het terras staan.

I made lavender for the dollhouse.
You need: Floral Wire, painter`s tape, crepe paper, Tack Glue, paint, leaves, pot, clay or oasis,
scissors, tweezers, pliers to cut steel wires.

Cut pieces of 4 cm from the floral wire.
Put the pieces of wire on a piece of painter’s tape.
Fold it to the wire. Cut off excess tape.
Cut a narrow strip of crepe paper.
Cut tiny pieces off here. Roll these pieces into a ball.
Connect all wires, eg in a block oasis. So you can easily paint and let them dry.
Paint the wire with tape in a gray-blue color.
Dip the tip of the wire in Tacky Glue (or grease with a cocktail stick the glue on the end).
Transfer the crepe paper balls with a tweezers to the glue. Allow to dry.
Paint the balls here and there a other purple color. True lavender is not uniform in color.
I bought a plastic herb plant. Here I cut off pieces.
The leaves I have painted gray-blue.
Put clay or oasis in a flowerpot. The pot I have painted “old”.
Lubricate glue to the stems (leaves and lavender) and insert it into the pot.

My French dollhouse will soon have a pot of lavender on the terrace stand.

Voor het poppenhuis had ik op Marktplaats een bod gedaan op een mini viool en een saxofoon. Mijn bod werd geaccepteerd en de verkoopster vroeg of ik er ook nog een paar schilderijtjes gratis bij wilde hebben en een serviesje. Dit aanbod sloeg ik natuurlijk niet af. Een beginnende hobbyist kan van alles gebruiken voor haar poppenhuis. Groot was dan ook mijn verbazing toen de postbode aanbelde met een aangetekend pakket. Een doos…voor mij ?. Ik had toch niets besteld ?. Het was mijn aankoop van Marktplaats. Alle spullen die je op de foto ziet kwamen uit de doos. Heel veel stofjes, kantjes en miniaturen voor mijn poppenhuis.Ik voelde me als een kind in een snoepwinkel. Ik werd er ontzettend blij van. Wat een leuke verrassing dat iemand je zoveel spullen stuurt. Ik heb haar dan ook uitgebreid bedankt en gezegd dat ik er erg blij mee was.

I took this offer natural. A novice hobbyist can use anything for her dollhouse. Great then was my surprise when the postman rang with a registered package. A box … for me?. I had ordered nothing?. Het Franse poppenhuis kreeg bezoek van een bakker met een mand vol heerlijk stokbrood en croissantjes. Een gezellige Franse bakker met een alpinopet en een enorme snor wordt de vaste leverancier. De werkers in het poppenhuis lusten wel wat. Hij heeft er een goede klant bij. Voortaan komt hij iedere dag langs om brood te brengen in poppenhuis La Grande Bonheur.

Ik heb een Eiffeltoren gevonden voor het Franse poppenhuis. Hier was ik lang naar op zoek. Zelfs op de beurs in Rijswijk hadden ze geen mini Eiffeltoren te koop. Ik vond hem bij de Webwinkel van Hobby Tempel in Arnhem. Hier hebben ze de standaard 1:12 artikelen voor het poppenhuis maar ook aparte dingen kom je erg tegen. Ik heb hem gekocht om op de schoorsteen te zetten. Hij is echt heel erg mini. Op de foto zie je hem bijna niet staan op de schoorsteen. Misschien als er een andere kleur behang achterkomt. Op de grond zie je hem wel goed staan door de donkere achtergrond. Misschien komt hij toch niet op de schoorsteen maar zoek ik er een ander mooi plaatsje voor.

I’ve found an Eiffel Tower for the French dollhouse. Here I had been looking for. At the fair in Rijswijk they had no mini Eiffel Tower on sale. I found him on the Webshop of Hobby Temple in Arnhem. Here they have the standard items for the dollhouse 1:12 but also special things. I bought it to put on the stack. He is really very small. The photo shows him barely stand on the chimney. Perhaps it is better with a different color wallpaper behind. On the ground you see him look good by the dark background. Maybe he was not on the chimney but I find a nice spot to another.

Ik heb mijn poppenhuis paspop beplakt met “Franse poppenhuis kranten”. De notenhouten paspop was mooi maar ik kwam ineens op het idee om hem te beplakken met kranten. Dit zie je wel vaker op oude paspoppen. Ik heb de Franse poppenhuis kranten nog een keer geprint. Als je de krantjes ook wil printen moet je hier klikken voor de website. De paspop heb ik geschuurd met heel fijn schuurpapier. Daarna goed schoongemaakt. De krantjes in stukjes gescheurd en met Tacky Glue vastgelijmd. Ik vind het resultaat leuk geworden. Het is nu geen staandaard paspop meer maar helemaal in stijl voor mijn Franse poppenhuis.

I have my dollhouse mannequin covered with French dollhouse newspapers. The walnut mannequin was beautiful but I suddenly came to the idea to glue newspapers on the mannequin. Van de badkamervloer ,van het poppenhuis, had ik nog zwarte en witte vinyl tegels over. Ik ben al lang op zoek naar een wastafel voor het poppenhuis zonder goud of andere versieringen. Ik ga proberen zelf een wastafelmeubel te maken. De tegels die ik over had heb ik in vieren gesneden en op karton geplakt met Tacky Glue. Daarna tegelijk met de vloertegels gevoegd. Ik heb voegmiddel uit de bouwmarkt gebruikt voor 1 : 1 badkamertegels. De tegels zijn van vinyl en konden na het voegen prima met een natte spons worden schoongemaakt. Wandplankjes van karton gemaakt. Begonnen met de wastafel. De vorm van een ijzer bakje uit karton gesneden en vast gelijmd. Ik heb in mijn hoofd hoe het moet worden. Nu nog kijken of dat gaat lukken. Ik denk dat het poppenhuis een mooie badkamer krijgt. Het “emaille” ligbad is in ieder geval al gemaakt en helemaal naar mijn zin. I had too many black and white vinyl tiles from the floor I had made for the bathroom in the dollhouse. I’ve been long looking for a sink for the dollhouse. Without gold or other ornaments.
